A prolific and captivating singer-songwriter, Jaya is notorious for energetic live shows teeming with audience interaction. Inspired by a range of songwriters including, Tracy Chapman, Imogen Heap and Gerry Cinnamon, JAYA offers listeners a refreshing mix of upbeat folk anthems and poetic pop confessions.
Jaya's soaring vocals and dynamic performances have landed her some prestigious shows, including opening for 80's Pop Icon Rick Astley on his Australian tours and performing with Australian singer-songwriter Clare Bowditch.
Born in Australia and raised in the Middle East, Jaya teamed up with bassist/pianist/singer Ronald Maas and drummer Stefano Magini after moving to London in 2015. Together, they performed at venues and small festivals in and around London, and enjoyed multiple tours in The Netherlands, Germany and Italy. The trio released a series of singles, the 'Happy With That' EP, and the album, 'Fractured Disposition'.
